ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mister Copy, originally from South Africa and now based in Paris, is a street artist known for large-scale murals that combine photo-realistic portraiture with graffiti elements.
His work focuses on reimagining stories from mythology, folklore, and fairy tales, presenting ancient gods, legendary figures, and traditional narratives in a contemporary style.
He has painted murals at international festivals such as Waterford Walls in Ireland and the Calais Street Art Festival in France. His murals can be found across the globe from Washington DC to Amsterdam, Cape Town and Gothenburg.

A cross of irish and greek mythology
In June 2025, Mister Copy returned to Dundalk, Ireland for the third time to paint a large mural just outside St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The artwork is inspired by Enbarr, the famous horse from Irish mythology who could fly and run across water. For this piece, Mister Copy mixed Irish and Greek mythology, combining Enbarr with Pegasus to show their shared strength and magic.
The mural reminds us that myths from all over the world often tell similar stories. They share the same heroes, powers, and lessons — almost as if every culture is connected. It leaves us wondering: are these just old stories, or could they be based on something real?

MISTER COPY TACKLES 1500M2 IN PARIS
In July, Mister Copy embarked on one of his largest projects to date. Commissioned by the city of Joinville-le-Pont, in the suburbs of Paris, the work covered a surface area of 1.5 km and required more than 1,000 liters of paint. Curated by Notorious Brand, the project took five weeks to complete and now forms a central part of the area’s final development, known as Le Spot.
This is Mister Copy’s first anamorphic artwork, bringing it together with his iconic 45 degree lines and Halo.
